I think they mean he is more god-like in commanding our defenders. Like a puppet-master.
He's their eyes. Without Kasper they can't see the person next to them moving.

From the Great Escape onwards, our defence has probably played close to 50 games together.
Are you suggesting that without Schmeichel they fall to bits and forget what to do?
I thought Ziegel had a great game and was not at fault for any of the goals. I am sure he shouted and marshalled the defence just like Schmeichel does.
3 goals were from corners FFS. That is nothing to do with the goalie and everything to do with man marking and being the right side of the player when the ball comes in.
If you noticed, in defence our backs come inside to force the opposition out wide so they have to make crosses that Morgan and Huth normally deal with with ease.
I am sure some of the training on Monday will be on defending set pieces. I am sure Porto had their TV recorders running, so will be looking to take advantage.
Of course I know I got shot down and castigated for suggesting it the first time, but there is always the Hernandez option as a defensive midfielder with a devastating throw, if Amartez and King are not cutting it.
Forget Jeffie's 2 - I'm still wondering how anyone could score any of the back four a 5 or above
Jebus, what a complete shower of shite
Was pretty poor today considering how much we paid. Yes, I know he has to fit in and actually have a decent supply in to him, but I was hoping for better even this early on for that price. Maybe I'm expecting too much.
Is this the same Kasper who folk criticise for not having command of his box and dodgy on set pieces? He's suddenly become the enforcer and Kante a 9ft Crouchesque figure of aerial dominance today. The worst offenders today were regulars of last season.
First half he was and I wouldn't have complained if both forwards had gone off. Second half he did step it up but we were pissing in the wind by then.
Spot on
This has nothng to do with Amartey, Slimani or Zeiler
Morgan, Huth, Simpson, Fuchs, Vardy, Mahrez, Albrighton. Complete and utter wank today, the lot of them
Must post my player ratings....
Jebus, what a complete twat

Better than 2 in 2.

For me 5 is just below average on the 1 - 10 scale I use
I don't know who folk is and I've not said he's an 'enforcer'. All I'm saying is that we are usually pretty good at dealing with corners and balls in from wide. Today we were terrible at it. Maybe everyone had a bad day together, or maybe the change in goalkeeper had an effect. I don't know either way, I'm just raising possibilities. So get off your high horse. You don't know the answer any better than I do.
I'd agree with all of that, the game must look completely different on T.V.First visit to OT. Nice looking stadium and not too expensive (by football standards). Shockingly poor atmosphere from the home fans and they all looked miserable walking out of the stadium. Strange people.
I enjoyed 'champions of league one, you'll never sing that'.
Other than the 20 mins when we let in 4 I didn't think we looked that bad (honestly!). Drinky was great. Tactics from Claudio at HT were correct (but I might have taken off Slim rather than Vardy if it wasn't for the CL). Ref was poor. Zieler should have done better for the first but not at fault for the rest.
