I think you are misleading as well, the bid to the shareholders correctly as you say is way below 25m but if you include the investment it is around 25mill.

Or is my information still wrong?

Don't understand what you are getting at, private mail us to explain if you prefer

It seems to me that the current board are interested in investment and not much else. If you look at how the club has worded its statement it looks pretty crystal to me.

They would sooner they kept control then sell the club...

The only trouble I have with that is that in two years of 7million parachute payments they appear to have done nothing. If an investment is what they are looking for it seems to me that there is nothing to stop them from wasting that money too. I am convinced that if we sent Mr Tim Davies to market to buy us a prize player he would return only with magic beans...

What WE the FANS want is for the club to be sold to someone who:

A. Knows how to run a club
B. Has experience or running a club
C. Wants to be in the Premier league
D. Has the ambition and desire to get us there
E. Will do what it takes to see it through.

I'm sorry the current board whose big idea was to sell half the ground don't tick any of those boxes, and further if they had managed to succeed with the groundshare there would be no interest in buying us because we would be a lot less attractive.

What I suggest is that you all stop counting the money you expect to recieve from the sale and get on with selling it to someone who knows what they are doing.

Feel free to object to what I have said, it is a free country, it is just the way I am feeling right now.

Watch LCFC screw this up:mad:

Sorry, slightly over emotional response there.

Just keep doing what you are doing Trust. I am glad that there are a lot of board members in a way. One of them is bound to have a brain.:icon_bigg

I would also like to clarify my above post and say that it isn't necessarily Mandaric either that ticks those boxes...I am open minded, but really don't rate the current board in terms of running the club.

It would be a terrible shame if the other potential bidder was Tigers related, it would be groundshare by the back door and not only that it would demote LCFC to second class citizenship. We would always be secondary to the Tigers...that must be unacceptable.

Equally I think £20 mil worth of loan would be equally unacceptable.

You said it yourself they showed nothing for 14million pounds spread over 2 years, the investment likely to be available will be much lower then this so based on the boards past record who would want to give this board any money?

Someone who wants to use the ground for rugby.

Surely they would be doing this at the Board meetings they have attended, which would also mean they are bound by the confidentiality of such meetings. I do not understand your criticism, as it obvious that there is a lot more going on in the background than we know so you cannot possibly criticise them for something you do not know if they have or have not done.

My criticism was based on what they said. I fully understand that most of what goes on is and will remain confidential. The FT post said that they were maintaining a low profile, if they are more actively involved then they could make that clear and I would support them in that.

Salaries to overpaid, poor performing players????

My point is that if things don't go right at first mandaric is the type of person who will work hard to fix it. He will be single minded in getting us into the premier league and will do what it takes.

If this board wastes the money invested then their best response is likely to be 'Oooops, anyone for a game of Rugger'!

Agree with most of what you say Silver, I just think that youi are being a little harsh on the current board who have had to work in some of the most difficult circumstances ever faced by LCFC.

You are right, I have been a bit harsh. I am truely grateful for what these people have done, but I think they need to let it go now. I am just a bit worried that they might lose sight of a good opportunity to put the club in good hands.

Thanks but it is time to let go.

I think you are being a bit kind.

The present lot do deserve thanks for the work undertaken at the time of administration. But.....they are utterly hopeless and impotent in terms of taking the club forward and everyone knows that.

I am not qualified to comment on the merits of the MM bid, but I am fairly certain that some shareholding elements and I think that the FT is likely to be amongst them will do whatever they can to undermine any developments that they perceive weakens their own position and the prospect of the club being effectively managed and able to move forward is a lesser priority.

That is not true, the long term success of the club is our prime concern.

We do believe if a non City fans takes over the club however that it is vital they have a City fan in the boardroom & want to meet with MM or any other person in that catagory to discuss their planned set up for the club.

That is a fairly strong assertion, what exactly are you basing this on?
Or is this just more irrational 'let's all hate the FT' diatribe?

I still think we need a FT-organisation involved on board level, if we dont it could all go the way of previous clubs who dont have a recognise fans organisation.

The FT will slowly evolve, learn from its mistakes and make a more approachable and better organisation. I am sure the FT are proud of the work, they have complete 2 massive objectives

a) Save the club and drum up interest
b) Get the club to a sale-able position

Fair play to them for that, many of us disagree on their own opinions but as a group you cant fault their work.

The current board and its shareholders seem to have no major interest in bring the club along and one of the only reason they are there were to be seen as lifesavers back in the dark days.

They may have assisted (in a very very small way) in the achievement of a) - but the main credit goes to those who actually invested the majority of the cash

They are not responsible for b) in any way whatsoever

The fact that we are saleable might be due to the fact that we are a mid-table club, with a decent fan base and a big ground (even though we don't own it). And also we are on our knees and feckin' desperate for a buyer

I am basing it on the following:

1. The current board has shown no capacity whatsoever for being in a position to put Leicester City back on the map, and, incidentally I have no time whatsoever for those defeatists whose ultimate position is " be grateful that we have a club at all - and we would be happy to have a club that bears the name even if it was playing in the Coalville & District League!"

2. The FT has shown every sign of coming more from the position of wanting to be 'close to the board' than being advocates of the radical changes needed to build from this pale shadow that plays in the name of Leicester City...and which is going backwards season by season...to the point that we are all supposed to get excited when we get near the top of the bottom half of the second tier division.....put much more crudely than i usually rant on: ' the FT appears to be too much up the a-se' of the directors.

Thats what i base my position on.

So it's basically your opinion, which some ( including me ) might disagree with. Fair enough, if everyone shared the same opinions it would be a boring old world. However your assertations are not facts.

I'm a bit bored of nearly every thread being Mandaric related now. I'm sure we used to play football and talk about that.:icon_bigg :icon_lol:
