He wouldn't want to start a bidding war with loads of other investors popping out of the wood work to plough all of their harded earn cashed into us. Maybe they would all join forces so we become mega rich and can sign players like Ronaldhino and become a force in the world of football.

or he may just not what to buy us!

For those who didn't listen/can't be bothered to re-listen/didn't understand the Milan interview last night:

Mandaric: It is an emotional evening for me, a difficult one, but that's how it goes in life anyway...

Barber: About tonight, I suppose you've known for a while that this day will come.

Mandaric: Of course, I told my people that I'm not going to leave them until we accomplish our objectives and one day, if I leave and when I leave, it'll be at a time when I leave the club in good shape and form. And I think tonight is the night when I say goodbye to my friends.

Barber: And everybody here in Leicester will be saying, 'what's next for Milan Mandaric?'

Mandaric: *laughs* No, really, I really want to enjoy this, as I've told some of your other colleagues, I'd like to enjoy my emotional time with the supporters here and in this wonderful city. I've been here for 7 1/2 years... I really couldn't say what is the next... uh... we'll approach that bridge when we get to that bridge, I'm not there yet, to be honest with you.

Barber: The people who I know you tell me that you won't be out of football for long Milan...

Mandaric: Well, people are guessing as to my track situation--record, and my life because I've been in football, simultaneously with my other professional businesses, I've been in football for 35 years, here and at other clubs, and it's part of my life. I love the games and I enjoy the challenges of the game of course, and I'm not saying that I'm out of football, once you're there you want to be there, so most likely I'll probably end up somewhere else...

Barber: And I know you want to leave this until perhaps tomorrow really, but, there's a lot of paper talk around that you might have an interest in Leicester, is there anything in that at all Milan?

Mandaric: Well, I'll be honest with you, please forgive me and understand that today I really don't want to talk about any other club, I do have respect for Leicester, for your club and all that stuff but I'd really like just to stay with Portsmouth, and maybe we can talk about this some other time. And I hope you understand me.

Barber: Yep, enjoy tonight, I know what you're like, you'll get all involved and won't be able to do much tonight, other than just sit back and enjoy the moment I suppose?

Mandaric: Yes, uh, it's going to be a great feeling, somewhat different than I've ever experienced because I've really developed a strong bond, a rapport between the supporters and myself, and it's a time for us to kind of separate tonight, so it's always hard to do but you gotta to what you gotta do.

Barber: Sure, I do appreciate you spending a bit of time talking to us, have a good evening Milan.

Mandaric: No problem at all, it's my pleasure.

Everytime I hear a helicopter in the sky, I look out of my window to see if it Milan Mandaric on his way to Filbert Street, ooh, I could jump off a dolls house

Ditto the Davies interview:

Ballard: He’s said that he doesn’t want to stay out of football too long, is there any chance he’d be welcomed with open arms at the Walkers stadium if he did decide to invest his money?

Davies: We’ll have to see. Obviously I’d have to ask all of our shareholders that. I’m sure our shareholders want to do what’s in the best interests of Leicester City Football Club in the long term.

Ballard: It’s pure speculation though at this stage isn’t it?

Davies: Pure speculation, yes.

---

Ballard: There are lots of fans who want to ask, what are the club actually doing to attract someone like Milan Mandaric? Or in fact any kind of investor who might see the club as in investment, possibly even buy the club, are you actively talking to anybody?

Davies: Ever since we’ve come to the club we’ve always sought and been willing to listen to new investors. Ever since I’ve started. What we have to remember is that when the club was in administration, and I know this is three years ago, I think there was world-wide publicity in all the papers and there wasn’t any multimillionaire who came along, it was just a group of local Leicester businesses who put their money in, their hard earned money to save this club. So we should be very grateful to those shareholders.

Ballard: And in terms of Milan Mandaric, who is almost putting himself on the market for someone to give his money to, have you approached him or has he approached you? Are you being proactive?

Davies: We’re always proactive when it comes to new investors and new things for the club but obviously we’ve got to make sure its in the best interests of the shareholders of the football club, and the fans and in the best long-term interests of the football club.

Ballard: Have you spoken to Milan Mandaric?

Davies: We haven’t spoken directly to Milan, Milan’s been the chairman of Portsmouth and also the director of Portsmouth and shareholder of Portsmouth I’m not sure if even we’re aloud to speak to Milan.

Ballard: Will you speak to him tomorrow?

Davies: Ha ha, I think Milan has got our number hasn’t he? I know Milan from our time in the Premier League, I’m sure he’ll give me a call if he’s actually interested

Ballard: ...Or at 10:05 this evening come to that, because that’s when he ends as chairman of Portsmouth. There’s no doubt though that a man with his wealth could make such a big difference to a club like Leicester City

Davies: I’m sure it could.

Reading between the lines of both interviews, it does appear promising, from neither party is there the slightest hint of a denial. But I suppose it is just a waiting game now and lots of finger crossing !!
