Former Portsmouth chairman Milan Mandaric could make an immediate return to football with League One Bournemouth.
The Serbian millionaire formally stepped down from his post at Fratton Park on Monday with Alexandre Gaydamark taking full control of the club.
Mandaric, who brought Pompey out of administration in 1999 and propelled them to the top flight within four years, now looks set to invest at least some of his £32 million at Dean Court.
"Bournemouth is a club I have a lot of respect for," he told the Star.
"English football is the only place to be.
"I have been involved in football for the last 30 years and do not intend to stop now." The South Coast outfit are currently 15th in the third tier of English football after a somewhat erratic start to the season so far.

This is honestly no different from the specualtion that has been suggesting that he might invest in Leicester. He has said that he has a lot of respect for more than a few clubs in the past weeks.
