ssomeone forgot to water his blue and white flowers at the training ground while he was on holiday, come the third week of the season the were all dead.....

o.k. the real reason....

he was caught posting messages on the foxestalk website under the name of "nitram". He thought that he would get away with the elusive name but was being tracked all along. The straw that broke the camels back was when he started a topic entitled "Petunias or Daffodils". Milan acted instantly, storming into Martin's office to not only find him on Foxestalk but to be "dead heading his daffodil" over a picture of Charlie Dimmock! Sick!

Not sure how much truth is in this or if it as been said before on here but my old man has it from a "reliable" source the real reason Allen was told to go.

Apperently Allen punched a City player and that caused a reaction amoungst 5 players to hand in a transfer request.

If this is true, the 5 players should have been allowed to stay on the transfer list.

I heard that he hit one of the players too from too sources one a former player and another a forest director.

But take anything with a pinch of salt.

I heard the real reason he went was he was driving a fiat punto through a tunnel in France, making his way to Portugal where he picked up a nice little hired Renault, then driving this car back to a hotel in spain he bumped into a balcony before driving it up the M56 motorway back in England. He then drove down to earl Shilton where he set it alight to stop anyone tracing his tracks. If you ask me he has done nothing wrong other than hiding behind that Grassy knoll. Allegedly……

you missed out the UFO sighting :018:

I had heard (I don't know how true this is or whether it has been mentioned before) that Ricky Sapplton had asked to go to go Ray Jones (Young QPR lad died in a car crash earlier in the season) funeral but Martin Allen had refused his request as there was training on the day, which upset a lot of the senior players triggering the transfer requests.

I doubt it even happened but if it did there is no excuse for physical violence against someone unless they are a threat to yourself. There are techniques for motivation and there are punishments available to a manager. violence is not one of them and is a symptom of lack of control.

Violence is an under used management tool.
