I had heard (I don't know how true this is or whether it has been mentioned before) that Ricky Sapplton had asked to go to go Ray Jones (Young QPR lad died in a car crash earlier in the season) funeral but Martin Allen had refused his request as there was training on the day, which upset a lot of the senior players triggering the transfer requests.

A truly bizarre coincidence the other day was when I was flicking through channel after shite channel and my eye was caught by an old repeat of Bullseye. A dodgy couple with matching nylon shirts got a sport question for £50. "Which football player was fined £10,000 for missing a match to attend the birth of his son?" Didn't know the the answer so Moooooooooooooo and Jim gave us the answer, Martin Allen. I think the dodgy couple just got BFH in the end.

I got told he hit Clive Clarke just before he had a heart attack in the changing room at the forest match, wonder why he was looking so distraught when he came out with Colin Calderwood to announce the abandonment of the match?

I also heard that first team players such as Kisnorbo were unhappy at the way he did things around the training ground and his tactics etc and therefore he and other members of the team handed in transfer requests and therefore Milan was left with the option of MA or several key members of the first team, not a hard one IMO.

It would have to be a good one to beat this. Some of the theories about Allen are amazing.

But in that case MM would not have been around to save Leicester who would have gone into administration and Allen would never have been appointed.

Or MM would not have been around to save Pompey therefore Leicester would have been promoted as champions and stayed in the Prem therefore never needing MM to come to their rescue.
