How about the rumour having been started by City in an attempt to smoke out some offers for Fryatt? Milan could recoup some of his money and buy a million pound replacement.

I seem to remeber that we already did that, In 2007 Martin Allen bought a replacement for well over a million from Birmingham City. Wasn't he a success!
