With him being injured and on the transfer list, does Jones have a future at the club? IMO he is a waste of space. He had one good game - and that was on his debut.

He wasn't that impressive at Leeds - They couldn't believe it when we paid them 3 million for him.

I remember Lennon's last game for us - Against Leeds at Filbert Street which we won 3-1. Jones was playing for Leeds that day. For one of our goals, Jones gave the ball away in his own defensive third which led to Akinbiyi scoring. Jones had a terrible game with Lennon trouncing all over him.

A few days later, Lennon leaves to go Celtic, and Taylor purchases Jones for 3 million. Good thinking Mr Taylor.

Jones is a woeful passer of the ball - as illustrated by the Leeds example, where he gives the ball away in dangerous positions. He also did this against Liverpool in the Premiership a few seasons ago. We were containing Liverpool quite comfortabely at Anfield at 0-0. Jones attempts to do something fancy in midfield and gives the ball away which led to Heskey scoring the winner. Basset said afterwards he was 'doing a song and dance in midfield.

The thing with Jones is that he tries to do the fancy things which don't work. He doesn't do the basics very well. His tackilng is reckless and he often wonders around the pitch like a headless chicken to no real effect.

I can't wait to see the back of him. :)

wanna fight ay son i have a great mind, my iq is 120

Sraight after being transfer listed, he was moaning about Micky and being forced out the club. He said he was good enough to play in the premiership and said he would make an impression in the Welsh game against the USA.

Well he certainly made an impression. Played for Wales, conceded a penalty, and got sent off. Such a pr1ck.

as much as I hate him as a footballer before a game last season when i was waiting in the car park for the players autographs all the players signed and walked away, it was only him and matty elliot, that were polite enought to stop and speak to me, he did seem a really nice bloke and said that he was really pleased to be back in the squad after injury and said he was hoping that micky would see what hughes and taylor seen in him, (sorry mate but micky has sence)

The only player who has stopped and had a chat with me whilst signing an autograph was Stevie Claridge... TOP BLOKE

i seen ian marshall in the city center last sumer, he stoped and had a convo with me for about 5 mins, great bloke, althogh i was with my bet mate who is a tree, he was winding him up by saying 'ian your on one of my video's at home' ian said 'oh ay, which one's that then' he said expecting it to be football fall of fame or somthing and my mate replied 'football nightmare's ' ian looked like he was gonna punch him, i was well embarresed,

I saw Ian Marshall in McDonalds a few years back. Munching away he was.

Anyway, back to the Jones thing. He's only played about 40 games for the club in 3 years. He's 'earned' over 2 million in wages in that time aswell.

Taking in to account his transfer fee and wages (about 5 million) he has cost £125,000 for each game he has played.

So did I but now i'm absolutely shit at the subject...

One of my units in Uni. is a Maths based one and i've already accepted i'm going to fail. I'm so bad, i'm not even going to sit the exam... Doesn't matter anyway, i'm dropping the Economics part of my degree next year...

i've got a maths gcse module thing tommorow, expected a*(honestly)
probably won't go cause i've got flu, :D

thats spot on about jones, it also works out at 5 million per goal cause if I remember properly he only scored one and that was against boro!

my 400th post, watch out scowie teeno's gonna get ya,
