Mattock hands in transfer request

According to RL, he's put in a transfer request and wants away 'as soon as possible'. He's also made it clear that he won't be extending his contract which expires in 12 months and wanted to leave last summer.

Sky Sports suggesting that he's off to WBA for £1.4m.

If this is true then let him go, don't want players playing who don't want to be here. I really didn't think he was that kind of person, I thought he was a loyal player being a Leicester lad. I suppose it goes to show there is no loyalty in football these days. Unreal, can't believe this.

It would show a total lack of ambition to sell him in the first place!

Hi all,

BBC Radio Leicester was told by manager Nigel Pearson that full back Joe Mattock has handed in a transfer request and will leave the club very soon.

Interestingly, he also handed in the same request this time last year but stayed.

The City boss has some very strong thoughts on the matter.

There will be Nigel Pearson's reaction on Drivetime with Martin Ballard on 104.9fm tonight from 6 o'clock.

Pearson must be so pissed of though, losing him a couple of days before the season starts, not really the sort of news you want to be hearing even though he is an overrated bag of wank. Still can't believe he handed in a transfer request last year as well !!
