Good post Shazza, but any employee needs to justify their position, surely :102:
I have no idea how the performance of a coach at any footy club is measured, not having worked in that environment. I suppose they would be reviewed, but using what parameters, God knows.

I see what you mean Newton, conclusive track record :icon_wink :icon_bigg

ok not much of a recored on the coaching side but his playing side makes up for that i would have thought ok he's not peter shillton :icon_lol: ;)
A bit like Glen Hoddle then, or maybe even John Barnes. :icon_lol:

Only pulling your leg, I sensed the irony in your post so I complemented it

imo i should set up a meeting with you and mike stowell just so you can ask him your self ,failing that you could join the FT you know ;) :icon_bigg :icon_lol:
Don't get me wrong I've nothing against Mike Stowell at all. Just with all the angst towards our 2 keepers that has been floating around for the last 6 months, i thought it was an avenue that should be explored and find out peoples opinions.

I am now happy that Mike Stowell is doing a wonderful job and is in no way, not even partly responsible

But it's the person who got them in who should be chastised - lets face it, they are not as good as Stowell was when he played - he must think, what am I dealing with here.

Our keepers are not the best, but the best cost money which we do not have. IMO other areas of the team need strengthening before the keepers.

On the Stowell issue, even Schumacher can not get a mini to go any faster than it can, all he can do is drive it to the best of his ability.

Poor anology Naughty Fox, Schumy is the sportsman along with our keepers, he's not the coach.

Even so, Schumy would get the mini to go the absolute best of it's ability, as he does with his Ferrari, it's all relative.

But I do see your point that once Stowell has got them as good as they can possibly be, there's not much more he can do.

Maybe that's why he was given the Assistant Managers position, because it's a waste of time putting too much effort into the useless fukks

Not when theres keepers who cant patrol their 18 yard box properly and effectively, its not the best we need its a capable keeper, these two have yet to get their timing
and their technique and organisation correct, this has cost us points last season

A goalkeeper relies on a lot of abilities which can not be altered from birth and can only minimally be improved. ie. Agility, Co-Ordination, Flexibility.

Let's face the two goalie we bought we dire, no fault of Stowell. From what I hear, there has been a sharp improvement in Logan in the past year and Stowell maybe the catalyst behind this.

This is true. When I saw Logan play the season before last, he was awful. But watching him at Boston, he looked a completely different keeper. I wouldn't mind if we lost Douglas or Henderson, because IMO Logan is a good enough number 2 keeper. I hope he is given a chance in the team this season.
