MA was a clown. His attempts at trying to get fans on his side were lust laughable. I cringed everytime I heard him on the radio or saw him on the TV. He had one good game and every fecker is sucking his ring piece.

Whoever the manager, I'll criticise evry time he picks a team that differs from mine - particularly if his drops points - when mine would clearly have won: however, fan power has influenced the choice of manager once. It is pretty clear that Milan wanted Warnock but was frightened off by fan reaction.
I do not have great belief in either Dowie or Warnock but, we need a manager who will work with Milan and, as such, I think we need to ease back on the vitriol that we pour upon every manager who is not our ideal choice.
I liked martin Allen but accept that an MA clone would not be in the club's best interest. We need continuity. The next manager should be in place at least until we are promoted.

Nothing to do with having one good game, IMO he was old school and was passionate about the game which he tried "like it or not" to install into the players and staff.
Yes maybe he portrayed himself as a bit of a bully (but we can't really be sure he was) IMO he is a typical east end boy that liked to do things his way (crack the odd joke and take centre stage),given time will prove to be a good manager.

On the essence of time this is where I put the blame on Mandaric, he should of at least allowed MA a couple of more months in charge to prove his worth, but then again I suppose that he needed to act when he did before it got ugly.

As Mandaric says we will probably go through several managers until he gets the one that he thinks can take us to the prem, which will not be this season IMHO, so he will not get his wish.

This isn't having a go at you Stevie, it is just this bit of your post got me thinking....

MM never said that this three year plan meant promotion on the third year, what he said was that he wanted to get promoted within three years and if he didn't then he would see it as a failure. To me that means he is going for promotion EVERY season, so his plan has not changed.

What his plan is when/if we go up we will have o wait and see.

I have to say, i dont think Dowie is the right man for us, the coventry form will soon take a bit of a dip and then he`s not such a good manager.

If he`s that good why didnt we have him instead of Allen?

And i wouldnt want to spend any money in getting our next manager as theres plenty out there that are looking for work.

Why havent i heard David O`learys name mentioned yet, could he be the one to take this club forward?

there's another reason Dowie might be recruited. he has an expensive lawsuit hanging over his head. MM would offer increased salary to get him. Perhaps MM is impressed that Dowie has achieved promotion before and has Cov top of table at the moment. Perhaps Dowie thinks that LCFC with more money behind them than Cov are better bets for promotion by the end of the season - and the extra wedge to pay his law suit to Jordan might be the clincher.

I can't stand the guy.

What he did at Palace was disgusting and I hope costs him a serious amount of money. It's a pity the football powers didn't ban him for a season.

That said I suppose if he got us promoted I probably could be won over.

Can't see why Coventry would agree to let us speak to him. I know that they may be hard up, but any compensation that we pay would be a drop in the ocean compared to the clubs running costs. If I were Cov chairman, I would rather push for an unlikely promotion than scratch a few coppers from my manager.
