Fans leader Lance Tomlyn believes Leicester City have been thrown into turmoil by manager Nigel Pearson's shock switch to Hull City.
Tomlyn, who heads the Independent Supporters Association, said: "The chairman says he has never left a club in a worse position than when he took over but I'm afraid the current situation leaves his record hanging by a thread.
"If we slump back down to mid-table, and Mandaric were to go, we would be left with a legacy of relegation to the third tier of English football for the first time in our proud 125-year history.
"The last thing the fans wanted was another period of upheaval at the club but that is just what they are faced with."
Tomlyn has also taken Mandaric to task over comments that Pearson appeared to be happy at the Walkers Stadium.
The City owner said he had "no indication" before he left on a safari holiday that Pearson was unhappy and he described his relationship with the 46-year-old as "100 per cent".
However, Tomlyn believes, if all was well, Mandaric would not have given Hull permission to speak to Pearson.
He said: "The chairman says you have to respect Pearson's decision to leave, but that doesn't give us any insight into why a so-called happy and contented manager should take this kind of action.
"Milan tells us that Pearson is a loyal and honourable man and I for one believe him. It just doesn't sit right that he has taken this massive sideways step while still under contract to Leicester.
"I can only assume he felt he had to get out and Hull was the first available option."
Tomlyn also questioned Mandaric's assertion that he "did all he could to keep him" on the eve of Pearson's third season in charge.
He said: "If he did all he could, why would he give Hull permission to speak to him before he'd had a chance to meet with him face-to-face."
He believes Mandaric would have been "perfectly within his rights" to turn down Hull's request to speak to Pearson and then discuss the matter on his return from holiday.
"There was surely no great time restraint from our side and who cares if there's a time restraint from Hull's side," said Tomlyn.
"I believe the chairman is being short-sighted and we're facing another period of instability where the new man will want to change everything and how long will he last?"

Lance Tomlyn. What a complete and utter c*ck. I should imagine he represents the entire membership of the Independant Supporters' Association. And as for the Mercury calling him a fans' leader by that definition, I'm President of the Known Universe.
:icon_lol: I didn't say I liked him or agreed with his title...I do agree with his sentiments in this particular article though
I can only assume...

BG for manager!Come off it Silver, this Lance Tomlyn sounds a right ****. A typical "I could do better than Milan" type. It is really easy to spout off like that when it is somebody else's money at stake. For all we know Pearson could have been a bigger moaning **** than Homer.
So would it not be best for Tomlyn to shut the **** up and concentrate on giving the next manager a bigger welcome than we gave the twat who has just left.
Start brushing up on your Portuguese for a start
Instead of all that long winded shite, just call him a **** and be done with itThe top management at the club is guilty of gross incompetence. Up until now I've always supported Milan but no longer. Letting your manager talk to another club without any objection is tantamount to telling him to go.
When Milan says he doesn't want to undo 3 years of hard work then he has done it in a stroke. He is either naive or stupid or couldn't care less of Nigel left or stayed.

I think that Milan may not have a lot of time left in charge at Leicester. He's been here three & half years so far but, personally, I can't see him making another two.
Today we lost a top manager, what will happen if we loose the owner? You never know, we might get some stability if that happens - It'd be a change.

How exactly could we loose (sic) the owner?
The fact that Pearson wanted to talk to another club is tantamount to telling Milan "I don't want to be here", so what's the point in trying to keep a man who's heart is no longer in the job.
