So for months we heard about £25m, then when the documents came out it was £4.5m this summer.

Why don't we have a competition on here.

What will Milan's net spend in transfer fees be come deadline day at the end of August.

Remember it currently stands at a negative £650,000 (ie money received)

Moderator/Admin - can this be a sticky?

Prize for the one nearest.....

....erm the honour of being nearest?

His spending is usually on wages thats what he is about. MM prefers free transfers and high wages to transfer fees and low wages. So without knowing the wage specifics your question cant be answered although I do hope we get someone else below 30 so a transfer fee unless out of contract.

So we end up with a load of players on big money & long contracts, remind me why did we go bust before.........

More like we all hope....currently I doubt it will be over £1million(if that)

He is obliged contractually to put a certain sum into the club every year for the next four-five years. He has no choice.

Also as I have said 1.5 million times if milan is a man of his word, which he claims to be he said he would take us back to the premier league within 3 years. To do so he will need to oil te hinges of his wallet, open it and spend some f*okin money.

GIve us what we want Milan and no one gets hurt.

:038::038:He definetly needs to spend some money to achieve his goals. But what he seems to have brought to the club in drive and enthusiasm so far we could only have dreamt of about 8 months ago. Imo things are certainly on the up but not exactly good enough for a promotion push this season(as yet).2 or 3 million quid spent in the right direction could defo help with that.
I reckon he will probably only spend £1.750,000 on transfers before the season starts

I am sure that his accountants could find any number of means to identify that sort of spend.

As Cornish Fox says at least there is some sense of enthusasm from the top at the Walkers rather than rigor mortis,

However, anyone who dreamed that Milan was going to try to turn things round through spectacular purchases probably realises now that this is not going to happen.

As for the premiership in three years - based on the acquisistions at this very early stage, I would have thought that that depends how poor the competition is likely to be over that period.

He's not obliged contractually to spend a single penny on transfer fees.

I can't remember him saying he'll get us promoted within three years. I'm amazed he would make that kind of commitment.

As far as I am aware Milan is a business man rather than a magician. So whatever he says or said, such statement must be regarded as indications of intent rather than commitments!

Looking at the bigger picture, the first thing that needed doing was a big clear out. This seems to be happening. Then, given that Milan doesnt seem to believe in spending his limited capacity on big transfer fees - he is stuck with signing players on frees who are willing to join a struggling (playing wise) championship outfit.

Those people who didn't expect that much in terms of the spectactular- and I think I include you in that category - seem to be getting what they expected

I am perfectly satisfied with the way this pre-season is going. Get the players back at Bradgate Park and I'll be even more chuffed.

If it all goes wrong during the season I will admit it hasn't worked then. It seems a lot of people on here want it to fail so they can say "told you so" about Mandaric and Allen. If it fails you can say that, however we will all still be stuck supporting a losing team. Nobody wins.

That's the way I've been reading it.
Mandaric may not turn out to be the saviour but we finally have someone in charge with a bit of ambition and a certain amount of gloom has lifted from the club.
We may not get promoted, in fact I doubt we will but it seems as though some people just moan for moanings sake.

Have I missed something?
Who are these doom mongers & moaners that want us to fail?
Can you name names or maybe provide links to the posts because I've not seen any of that.

That would be the Mercury readership & all those singing Milan is a Leicester Fan wouldn't it, wonder if they all feel conned :102:
