I think the people who were at the match will be surprised to see all this concern about Henderson. For me (and I am not a fan of his) he had one of his best games. Lots of clean handling of crosses. The one where it is said that he fumbled, he was actually knocked oover by a combination of defender and attacker colliding with him. A couple of poor clearing kicks; one where he declined to use his left foot and another which was just bad.
After reading the match report on the OS I would agree with you Boc but listening to the 2 commentators on BBC RL it's no wonder that so many of us were not impressed with Hendo today, just goes to show that we should listen to the real fans like yourself who attended the match and not take as gospel what these so called journalists air to us over the radio mics.:icon_wink

Incredible. I listened to the radio. The commentators were 100% that Hendo had the worst game any goalkeeper could have, and he was directly responsible for everything that went wrong in our pen area. There you go, what will we do, accept it and listen again next away game. Rubbish. Sack the fookin' lot

I will always defer to someone who was at the game. :icon_wink ;)

they said there were around 500 city fans down there, it certainly sounded like there were more and guess what there was double that mentioned by those pillocks 1,033

anyone who went what did you think of the atmosphere from city. i wish the media would stop living in the past in reference to milwall, always saying things like " the atmospheres intimidating, they are very passionate" BOLLOCKS Milwall lost it's passion and its atmosphere long ago. its not dangerous and it certainly isnt as intimidating as they make out, crap home support from a strictly mediocre club.

In defence to RL, the comms did say that Milwall has undergone a transformation and everybody is made to feel more than welcome. It is no longer the intimidating ground it used to be

This report started off being kind to us but ended a bit sour.

Should they really have had a penalty???

That report is pretty fair i think, although i couldn't comment on the penalty.

Henderson had a pretty good game i felt, he was quite busy.

It was my first away game in over a year, and the atmosphere from the city fans was good, i expected better from the millwall fans though.

I Thought leicester were poor in the second half, we could do with a cool head to play us out of pressure at times, but at least we didn't conceed. Its the sign of a good team to get points when your not playing well and we did that.

until you want to go home afterwards and they keep you locked in until the Police are ready to walk the train users back up that alley SLOWLY.......

But they were very good natured, which was more than be said for the BTP at London Bridge, who wouldn't let me get away from the group to catch my train to the Kent coast. It was really quite funny when they realised that they were walking us too slowly along the alley and suddenly speeded up.

And what''s this about "two to five minutes?" What happened to THREE and FOUR??

Those of you who were still around London Bridge half an hour after our train arrived (just me then?) would have seen about 15 police vans outside the Borough High Street entrance to London Bridge tube and more than several dogs chasing fans up back alleys. Other vans seemed to be dashing elsewhere. Leic and Hampshire bobbies there as well as Met and BTP were working outside the station as well. A friendly copper told me it was going off all over - worst night for a long time.

i heard quite a few sirens, but didn't see anything. be interesting to see if anything is in the news. if our fans were involved it won't look good after the southampton game

City fans were kicking off last night with Millwall & Chelsea fans all over London from what i heard...

Was that you shouting "For **** sake, somebody put a foot on it"? Oh no, that was me!

But you are dead right - we just kept hoofing it out and waiting for it to return. Often that's suicidal but fortunately Millwall weren't that good, despite all the possession that they had in the second half. Was it 85 minutes before we managed to get the ball over their goal-line?

I was really pleased in the last five minutes that we did settle down and started to keep possession in safe areas of the pitch - perhaps worthy of note that we only did that after O'Grady and Welsh had replaced Fryatt and Hume.

And did you see Williams go in for that tackle? I think I even detected a little bit of acceleration from him in the build-up towards its execution!!

Why, of why do we panic for 40 minutes and then find the ability to do the right thing for the last 5?

Didn't see any Chelsea when I was there, but certainly Portsmouth were in evidence and a few West Ham.

Portsmouth don't even have to go near London Bridge, so it looks as though the h/t rumour that something had been arranged was true.

I'm no expert, but at the very least i would like to see our defence push out a bit when we clear it.

I did see williams tackle, wish i had a camera, just to prove it was real.

The last five minutes were only better i think because Millwall started to give up, and allow us the ball a bit. a more confident team would have kept the pressure on.

Good result, not a great performance but it was the result that mattered! Henderson had a solid game (I'm still not a fan of his) Kisnorbo was great again today and if he isn't keen on his new song, he took long enough waving and giving the thumbs up to us at the final whistle as we were singing it.

Nice to finally meet Bocadillo and also to meet Real Sharapova.

All in all it was a good day and you've got to remember that Millwall are fighting for their survival. I thought we started like we were going to steam roll all over them, but after 20 mins we eased off and never got going again. Think yesterdays formation will get results against weaker teams but in the long term we will need a bit more guile to beat the top teams.
The defense and forward line look pretty settled and can only get better given the age of the players. But the midfield was the weak link today as it seemed to always stunt our drive forwards. Individually i think they are all tidy players, but that foresome will not break down better midfields. At one point yesterday i counted 4 of our midfield within 3 yards of each other and when one of them looked for an outlet he couldn't pass as he was boxed in by his own players.

Don't get me wrong 3 points were great and all in all i think the future looks really bright.

By the way, it was never a peno, i was 20 yards away and a little tug of the shirt does not warrant a peno. Think Hayles was just trying it on - desperate times for Millwall.

Phew!! I'm glad I omitted the term in my reply to alex.

I am sure that Beaumont will agree that there seemed to be quite a few people amongst the Leicester fans yesterday that we don't often see at away games - if you know what I mean.
