Lots of clean handling of crosses. The one where it is said that he fumbled, he was actually knocked oover by a combination of defender and attacker colliding with him. A couple of poor clearing kicks; one where he declined to use his left foot and another which was just bad.

bocadillo said:Having seen the reserves game at Motspur Park last week, I think the best kicker out of our three keepers is probably Conrad Logan. From hand he was kicking over 70 yards and well into the other half from 'back-pass clearances'. Can't recall any of them going over the side-line or anywhere near it.

Yes there were a few faces you only see from time to time, Burberry caps amongst them. We certainly took far more down than I was expecting, apparently the stewards had to open some of the lower section up. I had trouble leaving the escort at London Bridge, not helped by the fact that I didn't realise I was still wearing my City hat.:icon_redfbeaumontfox said:yes i recognised a fair few who aren 't normally seen at games...

I'm pretty certain it's illegal, article 5 of the EHRC and the Human Rights Act 1998, right to liberty and all that. I wasn't impressed with the padlock either, surely there must be a Health and Safety issue there as well?beaumontfox said:until you want to go home afterwards and they keep you locked in until the Police are ready to walk the train users back up that alley SLOWLY.......
What's the point of wearing a chastity belt without a padlock?LeeH said:I wasn't impressed with the padlock
I thought the combination lock and anti-theft devices would be sufficient?Real Sharapova said:What's the point of wearing a chastity belt without a padlock?

Still at least we won!

fitz said:last week all the talk was of how scared people were to go to millwall, now we've been and our fans kept away from those who people were scared of in the first place and we all complain. i didnt appreciate standing in the cage thingy on a not to pleasant day but i'd rather that than walk through to surrey quays or something
Steven said:... but it is not the other fans that worry me. :icon_wink
lazzer said:im aware there was an organised "weekend trip" to the game via coach for the sole intention of a ruck perhaps the local bill were aware of this too and took the necessary precautions
To be honest, I don't see how it does solve the problem. There were more than enough Millwall fans loitering by the time we were let out so they can't say they held us in until the area was clear. All it does is make it easier to identify the away fans. What's to stop their 'boys' moving outside whatever limits have been designated, and ambushing the fans who make it there about 20 minutes after they do, as the chances are these poor unfortunates are the away fans?bocadillo said:The police have the right to detain people to prevent an imminent breach of the peace and to use reasonable force to do so. The people who are detained do not have to be those who are causing the breach of the peace - they can detain those whose presence would lead to a breach of the peace.
In view of the number of officers that they had present, it might be interesting to hear them argue that the use of padlocks was reasonable. But I think it might be equally difficult for us to argue that it was unreasonable.
In view of the disorder that did take place a couple of miles from the ground a whole hour and more after the final whistle, I don't think it is difficult to believe that some breach of the peace would have taken place at or around the station in the minutes after the game had the police not taken the action they did.
