I do believe it is almost impossible to see down there and the equipment doesnt always pick things up. Most finds are trial and error.

It is murkey as hell in the canal, visabilty is no more than a few feet at best. Searching would be purely by touch. I have dived the canal a few times in the past and it's not nice at all.

Going off where the coppers were positioned earlier it was around near the Quay.

Deep. I really don't have an idea of the figure but I seem to remember someone saying the one at the top of my road is 18ft deep but I can't really remember.
