Well I have heard mutterings of retirement. Didn't he even hint at it after the Pompey game?

I may be wrong.

My comments stil stand though, people are naive inb thinking he is a haero just because he wants to come back from injury. He has two options, go and get another less well paid job or milk the money trying to hget fit. He really is only ever going to take one option.

So Trev,

What option would you take in if you were in his shoes??

Exactly the same one as he has, but it wouldn't make me brave, heroic or deserving of the fans respect.

I agree with Trev on this one. Nothing brave about Matt Jones. He's had to have these operations, doesn't make him brave in any shape or form.

He will wait till the end of his contract, and then retire. Simple as. People are naive to think he will get back fit and be a star for us in Division 1 next season, it just aint gonna happen.

Plus, he isn't that good anyway, even when fit.

Trev, He came out and appauded us for the support we have always given him. Thats all!

I would prefer that he do that, then sit in his arse coining it in!

I dont really have a problem with him, it is not that he has doen anything wrong, more that he has not done anything right.

Exactly the same one as he has, but it wouldn't make me brave, heroic or deserving of the fans respect.

People have got this tainted view of him, 'cos of the TV programme he did.

Fact was he was shite when he was fit, and would be equally as shite if he came back from injury

Another marvellous PT signing, wasn't he ?

Why did it turn everyone against him?
Was it really that bad?

God knows, there's a real bitter taste from the majority of fans towards footballers. It is bizarre, if you don't like it don't f*ckin watch it.

I've suddenly realised that what's the point in constantly moaning about football players when these are the people we go and watch each week and love it. It's our life, or a huge part of it anyway. Hypocracy (spelling) at it's highest level

The highest form of hypocricy is a dildo calling someone a slut.

That is actually, i'd much rather be involved in that hypocricy than this pathetic footballing issue.

Let's start a new sport of hypocracy - spelling is the easyest thing to do in the wurld you know.

That's part of what we love, though isn't it ? We love moaning about the performance of Scowcroft or Rogers. We love moaning about our manager not picking the right players, or signing up old codgers, or making bizarre substitutions that seem to lose us the game. We love moaning about how the club rips us off. Love moaning about Paul Mace being a twat of the highest order. Moan aboput the half time entertainment. Even love moaning about Henry the Horn.

It's great. Gives you a sense of involvement. Makes you feel like you have a say in how to make things better - even though you don't

But you're quite right, Malfy boy, it's complete bare arsed, bare faced hypoccrisy.

Deep down we f*ckin love Micky Adams, Scowcroft, Macey, Birchy, Henry, Filbert, the programme seller, the burger man, the chap in the ladbrokes kiosk, the overpriced pointless third choice gold shirt etc. We f*ckin love the lot

Why do we love it ?

We just do
