Off field marketing activities have been very poor since BP left in many ways, and the club has struggled in this area. Attempts to rekindled have made the club a joke.
I would agree with that, but keeping BP would have meant real and damaging faults in the football side of the club and ultimately the team and results.
You had a choice I guess, a successful team (or potential to be successful as a football team) or a successful club in terms of income and use of the facilities available. Income from marketing/other revenue would not have been spent on the team/football side instead (as previously mentioned) a number of the GO4 saw the opportunity to line their pockets and if that was to the detriment of the team so be it.
