De Laet is pretty average...but compared to Hutton he's Cafu.

Compared to Hutton, Alan Maybuy is Cafu.

I know it was only Villa and it's only the Jocks but has a worse player than Hutton ever held down a regular Premier League/old Division 1 and international starting place.

De Laet was a very good player for is in the Championship and his performance vs ManUtd in the 5-3 was probably one of the best individual performances I've ever seen by a City player.

Think some of you guys are being incredibly harsh on him. He's a very, very good player at that level.

I'll always remember him well and be thankful of what he did for the club.

Schlupp is decent and pretty versatile but his final ball is often suspect. Personally I would agree with Ranieri on this one, I think he's hit his peak ability wise. We've got cover left back wise in Chilwell. Left mid cover for Albrighton might be more of a concern unless Kapustka can play there? Though I think Kapustka is better suited to a more central role.

I thought Kapustka is more of a winger? And we have Gray.

I can certainly see Schlupp going for that reason - he was back-up left back and left mid last season, and with Chilwell, Gray and Kapustka now deputising in those posititons (and Musa potentially) then he's not going to get so many games.

I'd like to see Schlupp stay for another year as I think he's a useful player - pace, power, versatile just lacks end product/composure. But I don't begrudge him if he moves on because he sees his first team chances being limited.

If we let Schlupp go, the club must be confident of Mahrez staying.

Yeah I'd forgotten about Gray. So we have good cover for both of Schlupp's positions. £11m? I'd sell up...... it's a decent offer. We used Kapustka on the left vs Barcelona and he often seems to be out wide in many of the video snippets you see of him. We do seem to be well covered for both left back and left mid therefore if Schlupp moves on.
