Yes. That's exactly what it is. When you go back to school on Monday have them teach you the difference between questioning someone's opinion or merely pointing out why some comparisons aren't in anyway valid to a discussion.

I maintain though in my opinion that giving someone who has never managed at this level before us the most amount of money any manager in the history of LCFC has ever had is a mistake and it will end badly.

In footballing terms it would be a disaster to spend big, increase our wage bill vastly, and then be relegated eventually because we could not recruit the necessary experience to cement ourselves as a PL team. We perhaps have the best chance we are ever going to have to stop the yoyo and be a consistent top 10 club. We will not achieve that on our present course (in my opinion).

Oh and in reply, we gave Ranieri, a very experienced manager, loads of money to spend. That went swimmingly well, didn't it

I don't understand your logic. Just because we gave a manager who helped us to win the league money and it did not work out, it follows that we should give the most amount of money we have given to any manager in the history of the club to Someone with no prior experience of management. Is that what you are saying? Does that sound bat shit crazy to anyone else?

That used to be the case in this country, but not necessarily elsewhere. A lot of the time these days, the manager will say, "this is the type of player I want", and the scouting staff, director of football etc, will find some options.
Shakespeare is involved in the recruitment process, but not in the way managers used to be.
