I'm in that camp. But then I do wonder about previous appointments of non-managers vs actual managers. Rob Kelly wasn't as bad as some of our actual managers. Perhaps that's another reason for shaky tits other than his love for buckets of chicken.

Being a 'player', I'm very happy at my workplace because I have a manager of my own choosing. This is not necessarily in the best interests of the business though.

Not sure about Shakey but I think events will test out fairly quickly now whether he has what's needed including the ability to stop some of his key player gobbing off about where they see their next move and/or how unhappy they are at Leicester City. I realise that when he feels like it Mahrez is our most talented player but see his extended stay as a problem as well as a bonus i.e. we get a very unhappy Mahrez for a few months and a very mardy Gray who needs a proper opportunity - and this sort of unrest spreads. Hopefully Nacho will be phased in real fast and maybe give the attack a new dimension. I fear the next bit of the structure to crumble would be if Kasper signals that he too wants out. Overall I think Shakey has one of the very most difficult manager jobs in the game. He needs support and deserves better than the Silva fiasco.

A real manager like Sven, Megson, Holloway, Taylor, Levein (Ranieri's disaster of a second season even?) and all those other 'real managers' that have been so successful for us?

The past isn't always a reliable point on which to hang ideas of the future. The negativity towards Shakespeare already in what has only been a handful of games (and I am including last season's games in that number) is startlingly unfair and exactly the type of pant wetting nonsense we've seen since winning the title.

I think too many people are venting their anger at the wrong person. CS may turn out to be a poor fit or he may be a success. I'll give him time to show what he is made of and make my mind up then. The fact that we have people trotting out their 'I told you so's' and 'wasn't I a genius' horse shit already is mind-numbingly nonsensical.

I think that's fair comment. But unfortunately team selection/ game tactics have started to have a 'same old, same old' ring with us appearing to be a team set up against
the stronger sides with that 'we know we're going to lose this game look- but we will make it difficult for them as long as possible.'
 
Supporters' are divided between those of us that already know that Shakespeare is out of his depth and those that require more evidence before agreeing that he's out of his depth.

The only thing that will bring us together is a series of humbling defeats. The latest of which will undoubtedly happen tomorrow.
 
The single biggest plus factor for Shakespeare is that he knows the players and they know him; a continuity is maintained. Leaving aside the possibility that player power has perhaps had too much of a say in the last 12 months in our club, the continuity and lack of disruption are hugely important.

Personally, I'm prepared to give Shakespeare time to grow and learn, so long as the performances and results don't take a massive downturn. In the (slightly) longer term, we do need to reshape the side and move to a new era. I'm not sure Shakespeare is the man to do that but I think he is capable of being the manager whilst that happens, if you follow the differentiation.

That all said, I would not at all be opposed to a knowledgeable and experienced person coming in to assist Shakespeare. That'd be very difficult for the club to manage and would have to be done with some sensitivity, but I feel the team does need to be move on and develop - tactically we appear to be inflexible and, even worse, predictable.

Three wins in thirteen games is a fact.

It's also a fact that his last six matches in charge of us against 'top seven' teams have resulted in six defeats (conceding nineteen goals).

It's a fact that he is very one dimensional tactically. He's got a plan 'a' and nothing more. He doesn't adapt to opposition tactics or personnel. He doesn't know how to change a game or make positive substitutions either.

Why can't we use this sort of evidence to assert an opinion without being called arrogant?
