I'm not convinced. Musa? Mendy? New names that hadn't been mentioned before.

We were supposed looking at Mendy when chasing Kante. It's not like Pearson never signed shit players...we signed some gems but also some shite.

Prior to this summer, there has only been Benny and Kapustka that we've signed that weren't linked whilst Walsh was in charge or we didn't admit to having tracked for ages once signed. Even this summer, Shakespeare said that both Maguire and Iborra have been 'on the list' for years. He said the same about N'Didi.

One thing that I wonder is what exactly Macia does? He's invisible to us. The signings aren't his and he doesn't do the negotiating (Shakespeare says that Rudkin does it). Is Macia even still at the club?

Also, an important factor that is often overlooked is the potential signings cost. For example, I read someone say that Walsh had a long standing interest in Slimani but for no more than £10m. Over and above that, he wasn't interested. This would ring true for how we did business in his time.

Although, it's fair to say that he's chucked all his principles in the bin since moving to Everton.

Iheanacho is quality. He scores goals when he gets chances. He'll just need to prove his fitness and work rate in a 4411 formation to make it a great buy.
I can see him, Gray, Ndidi and Albrighton being a f*cking headache for a lot of sides though if we can set them up right in front of Iborra

I really can't see what the point in him is at Everton. They're just signing players anyone who has watched match of the day could recommend.

Pretty sure, its the 'red' influence on Merseyside, it makes Everton feel inferior, and they have to be seen trying to keep up with their City rivals. Common-sense doesn't play a part, nor does professional assessment of a players worth in terms of his ability and financial cost to the club which would have been done by Walsh. No doubt he has told them that Siggudson ( excuse spelling) isn't worth 50 million quid, I hope someone at our end has reached the same conclusion.

And neither Liverpool or Everton have ever won the Prem.

Yep, every single one, i think

But oh no, wait a minute, it was all that complete feckwit Ranieri

What a complete cock-end he was, wasn't he ?
Total Clownio! Should never have got the job. Good riddance.

Does criticising the transfer policy in his tenure mean everyone is saying he is a cockwit? No. Absolutely not. Calm your sirens homer.

I believe it is more down to Keoman WRT Evertons spending

Everton aren't big spending - they are probably net once they take into account the Lukaku incoming £££.

Don't know if anyone else has mentioned this but in yesterday's Daily Mail it said LCFC are trying to 'gazump' Everton for Sigurdson by offering higher wages at £125k pw. However it says he still likely to opt for Everton as he wants to link up with Koeman.

Iheanacho + another CB Sounds good to me. I worry for us a bit creatively if Mahrez leaves as well but for now that should see us looking good. Can't see us getting a 'fair' offer for Mahrez in this window but maybe he'll get his move if he proves he's still got it between now and the next window in January.

In other news - Kolarov has asked to leave Man City.

I still want to see an attacking midfielder in the mould of Sigurdsson, and a right back for cover for Simpson. As well as another CB and striker.

And we need to shift half a dozen out.
