He'd be a great ready made replacement for either of our CBs. Sadly I can't see him coming to us.

We get a young CB - Benny/ Hernandez/Amartey and people say we need prem experienced CBs then when a successful prem experienced CB is mentioned - one who has excelled over the last couple of years - people say they want a younger CB.

Fonte would be great. Like it's been said it'll never happen.

There seems to be a lack of top quality center backs that's really know how to defend not just in the premiership but across Europe. How many teams are looking for center backs and can't find decent ones? Seems like a common problem to me.

I didn't realise Fonte was that highly rated. If he's just waiting for Everton to come calling then it's a moot point.

I expect Fonte is mostly after a bigger paycheck during the last few years of his career having heard how his old mate Graziano is now bigging it up in China. Good player, but would prefer someone younger/ hungrier.
