I like one or 2 tracks, but thats it, I wouldn't for 1 minute say they are poor musicians unless in jest or an attempt to provoke all the Radiohead groupies into the predictable mass hysteria.

I just feel, like Nirvana icon_wink ), they are a tad overrated in terms of musical influence and the accolades of changing music forever

Nirvana have only gone up in stature since Cobain died, at the time, they were just a good band. They didn't revolutionise anything, all there influences were from Shaggy from Scooby Doo, he changed the scene.

Just a decent band, with some good ol' songs

Nirvana were fortunate enough to be on the scene when the Glam Rock days of the late 80's were coming to an end. It wasn't Nirvana that changed rock music, it was progress that changed it, Nirvana happened to be there

Says who? If you're going from a poll, they are all pure horseshit and justify absolutely nothing. As such no one can ever rightly claim to have made the "greatest album", unless someone puts out a piece of work that every single person on the planet agrees about. Lets face it, no one could even put forward an album that this forum could 100% agree about.

It was quite possibly a silly remark but I think most people, a majority of music consumers would agree OK Computer is the top ten records of all time.

Thats the kind of opinion I can accept. To dismiss something has just totally crap in the arts means you might aswell only listen to your favourite records all time and watch your favourite films.
