unless the pitch turns into the same state as st james park did when they first built the new stands i dont think pitches that look bad are as bad as people make out. having played my fair share of football games, bowling green quality grass rarely makes a difference unless compared to bogs. plus we could do with some money

I feel finicially it would be a good move but to see a tiger imblazned on the stadium front or green tigers. Would make me sick.

i'd swap that for a repeat of last home game where i had to park in the phoenix arts car park as everywhere was full up because of their game against bees or something

Why do they kick off 30 minutes before us to avoid "traffic problems"

In reality the Tigger fans are probably police officers, solicitors, magistrates etc who are in a positon to influence the decision in order to get the better parking spaces.

We will always come second, always

I can't be arsed to search all the old threads to find out the 'facts' from last year. As I remember them, the important ones were:

Tigers pay us a big upfront sum. This is partly to offset monies we have already paid towards the stadium and also to compensate us for future shared conference/banqueting income.

We would then go to the Teachers Pension Fund and basically say we either will pay you about £25 million spread over the next the next 30 years or so, maybe, or we give you say £13 million cash now and you give us back the stadium now.

All the costs are shared, eg the £2 million, I think, Council Tax etc.

A new hi-tech, semi-synthetic pitch is installed that will not wear with rugby on it.

Legal contracts are drawn up so that one club cannot throw the other club out.

I think it is a great idea, but the stumbling block last time was not the clubs, it was the 'suits/old gits' running the national games with this fixture 'primacy of tenure' clause, which I thought was crap, because we only occasionally ever have both teams playing the same day and it is easily sorted. The crucial final games of the season are never the same time, and it is easy to agree that a cup match for one club would take precedence over a league match for the other. We often change for TV anyway.

There is another up side to this. If Tiggers retain WR lease we could play all the reserves games there and they could play all there second team fixtures there.

The staffing could move from one to the other on these days/nights.

Wouldnt work though that, two lots of rates, bills etc, be no point in the ground share and do we really need a 15k capacity reserve ground, we use Hinckley one of the best non league grounds in the country.

No they were not. Our final game is next Sunday.
You said "games" as in plural, I thought you meant "the run in". Obviously you meant our very last game and The Tiggers very last game, for that, I apologise.

i think its a needs must situation, as much as it will sicken me to look at that tiggers logo i think it might make financial sense, having said that if it were the filbo then NFC

But what colour would the seats be? Blue, white, red and green would be a terrible clash.
I know you were probably joking but it would not make financial sense to go ahead with something like this and then change half the seats in the ground that are only a few years old anyway.

i wouldnt have thought the egg chasers would mind dont they sit on wooden benches

I think TD's original idea was to give/sell the Tigers fans seat covers so that it could be green or whatever when they play but then they could be removed when we play.. Don't know if that's still the idea or if it is even possible. As the Tigers are the ones with the money/power I could see there being a chance of seat colour, but perhaps to all white so that both parties could be 'happy'.
