I heard Scottish journalist Chick Young say a few weeks back on the radio that this current Celtic team would easily finish in the top six in the English Premier League. Deluded fools are those Jocks!

Laughable with their current squad. I do think though with Prem money and a big support base they could be decent. Hopefully never happens though as the two (now one) professional Scottish clubs are so full of hate I'd rather they stayed in their own league.

The best thing about Celtic (in my onion) is the Deluded Brendan twitter account.

What on earth happened to Mickey? Rated him so much higher than his career panned out.

I still think he performed a minor miracle getting us promoted that year.

He tried, but it never worked again at Brighton, whereas he virtually saved them in his first spell there. His home town Club, here in Sheffield, was going through a spell when they were dogshit and even though he was a Blade he couldn't get it working and before that there was Coventry, well say no more.

Liked Micky and always felt he did a good job here, but never really got a lot of backing, even from us fans tbh, towards the end.

He had all the la manga shit, us not having a pot to piss in and a 30 year old panini sticker album as a scouting network.

Brian Deane was ****ing brilliant that year. He came through in a golden generation of strikers. If he was knocking around in his prime now he'd be in the England side (and he was far past his prime by the time we got him).

There was something about that side. Maybe it was the patched together nature of it, but it felt like a real battle against the adversity in the background, which made it very satisfying.

I've a friend who's a PNE fan. He's fairly confident that Grayson won't want to go to Sunderland. I'd have to agree

He's took Preston as far as he can though and I think he'll jump at the chance.

He's done similar jobs at Leeds and also Preston in consolidating them after a bad time and then taking them forward.

If he can do that at Sunderland he'll be a Prem manager within 2 seasons max which is what he really wants.

Plus the mackems will at least double his wages so it would be a no brainer imo.
