I think he's finding it difficult to accept that his career (as he knew it) might be over. Didn't Danny Simpson kinda go through the same thing? It must be a hard thing to accept in fairness. I suppose there's a time to acknowledge what it's brought you, be thankful for that and move on. He's had a pretty darned good career by the majority of footballer's standards.

I don't think I'll ever understand the vitriol some people have against the crew that provided us with that magical season that I never expected in my lifetime. They are all still heroes in my mind, no matter how far they have fallen since, and whether or not its through misfortune or their own human failings.

Yep. The last magical moment for our team. If anyone seriously expects to have that kind of feeling about a Leicester team again in their lifetime, then they are going to be hugely disappointed.

Well winning the FA Cup came close...

Never scored, played or managed us, but a significant player nonetheless.

Retired today.

He may have won the league with us but it doesn't mean he isn't a waster who destroyed his own career.

It also doesn't make his offer to play for us any less ridiculous.

A Leicester legend though obviously

Yep, we live in a world of apparent contradictions. I say apparent because it seems we have this belief that people are consistent, always the same, not capable of being a multitude of different things at different times; legend AND pillock.

Put him on a month by month contract, got nothing to lose in seeing what he's got

Don't think there's much to gain either.

If he wants to start playing again, he's got time to take a cheap contract somewhere, get fit and prove himself. But I doubt he will.

Chelsea loaned him out to Reading before and he did nothing there either.

He's done this to himself, sadly.
