Cags did all right, it would be churlish not to wish him well, however, I can't bring myself to wish the same for BR after his inexplicable decisions to leave Cags out.

Yep, surely up there as one of Rodgers' most ridiculous decisions over the last couple of years.

What a difference Cags could've made this season. He wasn't perfect by any stretch (I still shudder thinking of that Bournemouth game), but he was better than the defenders we had on the pitch for most of this season, which he proved when he came back in for the final few games.

I think Brendan blamed him for costing us top 4 from that Bournemouth game and never trusted him again, but presumably also had a big falling out alongside it.

Brighton look to be in for Calvin Bassey who has flopped in the Eredivisie. Ajax have learned a lesson we English know all too well... do not buy from the SPL.

Not sure what you’re on about. Alan Maybury, Stephen Hughes, Peter Canero. Mark De Vries, Momo Sylla and Rab Douglas were great signings.

Managers from the Scottish Premiership are even worse.

Well it used to be a better source for recruitment. Dave Gibson, Dave Sinclair, Bobby Roberts, Martin Henderson, Gary McAllister, Ally Mauchlen and quite a few others. But that was all a long time ago now.
