Evans has been outstanding for us, one of the big figures at times. I do not diss him in the slightest. I think though that age and injury record mean it's not really sensible for us (indeed pretty much anyone) to offer him a contract. As we are clearly looking to rebuild, it makes perfect sense to me to let him go with our kindest best wishes. Certainly I'd wish him well.

Afterwards some were wondering wtf we’d bought as he had a poor game.
Yes he was a good servant for us , I’d say until the last 18 months (sounds familiar)
Hardly fit for us, but jumps out of his death bed to play for his country .
