Bet he’s pleased he signed that 7 year, £200k per week contract though, if his career is going to be like this.

Evans signs short term deal at Man Utd to enable him to play in their pre-season games.

At least he's not going to be here.

**** gets rewarded for relegation shocker

I thought he had the potential to be one of the best in the world. I suspect that might not happen now.

To add, has anyone else noticed his strange running gait? I wonder if this is linked to his injuries.

They do have a bit of history in signing older ex players and getting them to coach and play in the U23s.

Bloody good luck to them if he is going to be used in the first team!

Point of order: did he actually play enough for us to be blamed for our relegation.

I wish him well. More power to his elbow etc. Shite captain perhaps but decent enough for us as a player... when he played.

I can only assume that general anger over last season (which, believe me, I can understand) knows no bounds. How often was he actually on the pitch? Shite captain, yep I'll agree there and maybe he should have refused, but it's hardly his fault that he was selected.

I'm not saying he's the mutts nuts but there has to be a limit to how far the blame extends. Or are we hoping the tea lady is sacked too? (Though given budget cuts, she probably has been)

Evans can **** off for me. Big culprit last season.
Was he buggery. He's past it and the injuries have caught up on him, but we looked much more solid in the handful of games he played. It's not his fault that the aging process went to work on him. It looks to me like he'll be working with their kids as a player-coach, and I'm gutted we didn't see that in him a year ago
