Are we? I thought they'd just had a takeover? May be just boasting but some Rams fans I know are saying they have a million at least to spend this summer.

The sheepsh*ggers are in a better position than us... how else could they afford to pay off Preston when they were allegedly close to administration over the last couple of seasons!!

??

I thought we were £30m in debt or whatever.. or was that what was wiped out when we went into administration?

Not as much of the debt was 'wiped out' as some people have been saying ever since.

Much of the debt at the time was the amount owed on the stadium - which we're still paying, the amount of existing players contracts, which were all paid in full, and a lot of it was things like the value of outstanding season tickets etc.

The people who were hit the most were small local businesses, who didn't get money they were owed.

There is indeed only one question.

FT - If you were so inundated with questions why did you chose half a dozen that all ask the same thing?

Every members questions received have been put to AT, we have grouped them into themes, hence the similarity to date, the topics covered will widen as the weeks progress

feckers................!!!! They could afford to pay off the already overpaid players, the useless twats who got us relegated in the first place. Me .... I had to grin and bear it, bend over touch my toes whilst the club fecked me up the arse for 8 big ones. I even offered to take over one of the vacant boxes for a couple of matches as payment but the admin bloke turned out to be a kunt......

Thats terrible BG, you can't let them get away with that. Thats robbery. You gave them a get out clause and an easy payment method that would cost them nothing and yet still reward you.

I must say old bean, you have acted remarkably admirable, if I was you I'd be fukking furious. I must learn to control my emotions and aggression like you obviously do :icon_wink Bastards!!

They HAD to pay the players or the football league would have thrown us out. If that wasn't the case the likes of Flowers, Jones, Royce, Elliott etc would have been sacked as soon as the administrator took over. It's the football league you should be blaming, it's their rule.

to be honest at the time I would not have given a flying feck if we had been thrown out, I wanted my money, I offered them different ways to pay it, but they just carried on playing the big boy bit. They could have given me a box for a few matches like I mentioned, plenty were empty, but they said no and without a good explaination as to why. I asked for some advertising again no. They were all suggestions where I could get some value out of the situation and the club getting rid of their debt to me without having to lay any money out.

I thought we just rented the Stadium from Teachers? Or is it more of a morgage on the stadium?

It may look that way in the short term, but as I understand it their situation is in fact very little different - the bulk of their debts were not paid off, but deferred long term. Like our arrangements with the stadium, they will have to start coughing up if they were to get promoted.

Who are "they" ?

At the time of administration the club was run by the administrator, control of all financial issues passed completely to him and his team.

My understnading is that we are paying back the debt to buy back the stadium, however whilst we are outside the Premiership the amount we pay back is less than even the interest. So in truth the debt continues to grow.

I believe you are right.

but maybe some people on here do appreciate the updates :102:

and to be fair & as someone who is not particularly thrilled by set ups like the FT (I believe that supporters should be just that and not fence at getting involved in management).....the questions in the FT dialogue with chairman seemed very relevant, and the chairman's responses reasonably detailed.

The fact that they don't tell us anything we didn't more or less understand already is simply because the financial position is predictably depressing. We couldn't really have expected any pleasant surprises.

That said....i sense that a lot of expectency (possibly too much ) is being loaded on RK...who is apparantly required to transform the playing results - and thereby the finances - with about one and sixpence. The guy did brilliantly to turn the situation round at the end of last season, and somehow I think that he's going to find it tough to push things on.

Mind you, the one & six is a bit unfair. I've just sent him £2.
