CL did say that he was looking at striking options, but I felt that he said it more because he was pressed by the interviewer than because he is serious thinking about it. He’s looking at new players all the time of course, so he’ll have seen some strikers he might like, but I don’t really think we’re going to see anyone coming in before January.

I don't think CL is desperate for a new striker. I think De Vries and Hume should be our front 2 with Hammond and Dublin (gerrbrand and Mccarthy look solid at the back) as back up. Agree we probably need another striker, but can see CL waiting for the right man to come along.

i was talking to a bloke in the indian saturday who claimed he worked for the club and he knew "craig" well i suppose he could have been bullshitting me and I was also very very drunk but he told me we are looking at a striker from holland on loan

I would love to see Trundle come here especially, he is exactly what we need. Someone with creativity and flair, someone who can make something out of nothing. Despite all the 'lazy' crap he seems to get, from the games I have seen him play he works hard and gives 100%.

Not going to happen though is it Durham,not without us getting rid of someone.I think if we do get someone it will be on loan until the end of the season then we can readdress it in the Summer.Someone from the Prem I would imagine,we can't take another 'unproven at this level but promising' type on.
