Who would you play with him up front Lako?

It would ahve to be DJ for me, although i must admit that is not necessarily because he would suit Healy, simply because i have no faith in the others.

Whereas I think Healy would link up better with Howard or Fryatt than DJ.

In terms of their technique then yes, but im affraid neither have done anything to warrant me selecting them in any starting line up.

If we signed Henry and Drogba and put them up front we'd manage to turn them into Michael Ricketts and Trevor Benjamin within a week, so I have low expectations.

...love it Mouse !....why DOES that happen??? seems no matter who we get, manager wise, other than MON of course, they turn into, banjo, barn door, cow's ar*e, type strikers...

I'm sure season long loans or loans made within the windows are different too emegentcy loans.

think you can have 5 long loans then 8 emergentcy. but you can only have 5 loans players in your 16? something like that.

Emergency loans can be taken out at any time between Friday 8 February and 5pm on March 27, 2008 and can only be used by Football League clubs loaning players in from other clubs in England, including those from the Premier League. International switches are not allowed including Scotland and Ireland.

Players can be signed for a maximum period of 93 days on such loans.

Players on emergency loan can be recalled by their own clubs after 28 days have expired, but not before.

Only five loan players (whether standard or emergency) can be named on the team sheet for any one game and no more than four players can be loaned from one club to another in any one season.

Why I have to ask is Healey available? Is he out of form, cannot get into his own team at present. If so what is the likely hood of him becoming our immediate saviour.

He'll need to score in his first game to be the saviour. Then he can hit the ground running.

I have no idea who would want to come play upfront for us!

I have already given the figures further up the thread. You can have any number of emergency loans but they relate mainly to goalkeepers, i.e. you can get a goalkeeper in on emergency loan when you would otherwise have no keeper available. I can't see that we could claim that we don't have strikers available, even though several of them are hardly deserving of that description.

I thought a striker's job was to put the ball in the net at the right end. On evidence of the last few matches we need an emergency loan of a striker as none of ours qualify.

How much money have we spent already on strikers? £3-4 mil? Doesn't matter who plays up front we already have DJ (supposed 15-20 goals a season striker), Howard (supposed 15-20 goals a season striker), Hayles (double figures), Hume (our top scorer in the past), Fryatt (supposed double figures). Not to mention Elvis (ok he's shit), DeVries and the young prospects too.

Surely with that lot we can expect to, at least, not be bottom of the scoring charts for the whole division. There is something fundamentally (sp) wrong down at that club if we can't be even half successful with the squad we have.

Another loan player, are we allowed another one?
If only somebody knew the rules around loan players.
Does anybody? Please post if you do because I'm confused
