What I will add is go to Havana - you see the real Cuba there.. some of it is really run down and the people are begging, but in other places you really get a feel for the happiness that the people feel. They are doing their best to rebuild the city and its just one of the most amazing places I've ever been to. The Capitol building (exact copy of the american one) is astounding.
