Matched them first half, midfield stopped playing for and after the goal. Offered nothing going forward second half, and couldn't stop their midfield breaking.
Didn't really expect anything from the match, but after a good first half would have hoped to come away feeling we gave it a good effort.

At times we passed it about well, except for the final ball.
First half we were the better team. Pearson will have learnt a lot tonight :icon_wink

Fryatt should have done better at the end of the first half, after that we never looked like scoring

The gulf between the two sides was so evident...our midfield got over ran.
All we could offer was highballs to Howard..that shows that when we come up against a really decent outfit,we struggle.
I could see why nigel opted for paul gallagher on the left,though it did not payoff.. the luxury of 2 wingers was never going to work
Newcastles movement was quality...on this showing i think mid-table to playoffs is what we can achieve at best.

He just hates us...but then so do Sky by the sounds of it, as the other presenter was desperate for Newcastle to win too, so they could be top (and no doubt go back where they belong)
