Cringe inducing double standards of the highest order.
 
Isn't it interesting, the media tell us that we're all right behind this sort of thing but, get together a bunch of chaps who, I'd guess, have disparate political views, and we all agree that it's silly. Makes you wonder where else our views aren't what they should be. Let's start a revolution - after the match, obviously! :D
 
They are not as bad as their position suggests. Mitrovic is a bully. Their midfield is creative. Their defence can be stubborn. A miserable 2-0 defeat in horrible windy conditions.
 
If they played the country's anthem every time people were killed by terrorists we'd be hearing the anthems for Afghanistan, Iraq, Nigeria etc every week.

But the Premier League obviously want to look good around the world, so they're doing this for PR purposes.
I suppose the rationale is that the Paris terrorists targeted a football match - hence the solidarity- the other attacks around the world have typically been aimed at tourists, people in a crowded market or shopping mall, a school, night club, etc at which silence at a football ground would indeed make very little sense.
