When somebody who has never had a lot of money wins the lottery, they often go out and buy lots of tat that they think looks good but is really just rubbish; huge American muscle cars, tables made out of gold, statues for the garden etc... We have the same attitude towards buying players. I just don't think we understand how to spend it. Ghezzal, Iheanacho, Slimani, Musa, Diabate... We have the makings of a shit 5-a-side team right there and it's cost us over £90m.

He disrespected the competition. He disrespected the club and he disrespected the fans. Same as he did against Man City in the League cup. Both were there for the taking and he pissed it all up the wall.

To have the arrogance to believe that the squad needs no additions just shows that he hasn’t got a clue.

What is more worrying is this...

A **** ton of money has been spent after our PL triumph and yet we are actually worse. There is no depth to us.

Ulloa would actually have better than the striking options we have after Vardy. There is no improvement at all in the squad.

If Vardy gets injured we will have utterly nothing.
& yet me don't need a striker apparently. Clearly one is enough. Although to be fair the chance of picking up a decent one in a January window is basically nil. Every striker we've spunked money on since winning the PL has faield. Either because they were total shite or because they haven't suited the way we play (which of course begs the question why we bought the ****ers in the first place!)

Vardy is past 30. If the next 2 strikers we buy are failures we're only going to spiral downwards.

So we are the football equivalent of Michael Carroll? :( You're probably right!

He's right though.

From his perspective.

It doesn't need any additions to finish in the top 10. Which is the limit of his ambition.

Shit manager with too many shit players to choose from. On our day, under specific circumstances we’re quite good.

Most of the time the football, the attitude and the quality just isn’t good enough. Let’s face it, this lot aren’t winning a cup or qualifying for anything. I’m over giving a toss about Puel or just how bad some of the players are. This result has tipped the balance for me, I’m just going to get on with loving the club and be grateful for the good memories. Think we need to let go of the hopes for more trophies or European football in the near future, it just can’t happen in this cycle of the club.

Makes me a sick motherfucker, how far we done fell’ - Bunk Moreland

Musa or Ulloa would be an improvement on our current options after Vardy. Our recruitment has been shite. It's not all Puel's fault and there needs to be changes there too. The respect he gives to the cups is a ****ing embarrassment though.

Okazaki and Nacho up front, the ****ing Laurel and Hardy pairing.

Really upset he didn’t pick the right team.

Totally disrespectful of what happened to our club this year. What more a fitting tribute to what happened than to win the FA Cup, shame Puel couldn’t see that. Twat.

Got to be honest whilst Ian Nacho was poor he wasn't exactly overloaded with opportunities, looked at isolated as Vardy has in previous weeks, what today proves, is the tactics clearly do not work in these types of games. That is the manager and his back room team.

Apart from a striker we also needed to somehow fill a void left by Mahrez.

Maddison is doing well but will need some time but still won't be that answer.

We should've gone in hard for someone like Felipe Anderson.

Ghezzal actually seems to me like a buy in order to sort of say "we tried to replace Mahrez."

Not sure, was the player playing completely out of position due to an inexplicable substitution?

I love Marc Albrighton and agree the substitution Puel made resulting in him playing right back was idiotic. But that doesn't excuse him moving his elbow out to block the ball. The penalty was his fault and his alone.

Nacho is as gormless as he looks. Does he ever smile or look anything other than nonplussed or bewildered by it all?

It seemed sensible to me. Newport were playing very deep, and weren't threatening at all.

Simpson wasn't doing anything. No threat going forward, and nothing to do defensively.

Albrighton continued to play more as a winger, and Ghezzal moved into the middle, where he was more effective.
The change helped us get back into the game. The penalty was just a moment of madness.

Anyone able to find that picture of him looking sick as a ****ing chip when he went for his medical? Always looked promising.

so playing out of position made him stick his arm up in the air? he didn't get done by a winger he committed a brainless handball I know you want to blame Puel for everything including Trump's election but he isn't responsible for that
