I've not been paying attention to the radio properly.... but do they seem to think Keegan and Clark is almost a done deal?

Clearly or you would have heard that Keegan has said on ESPN that there is no truth in the rumours about the Leicester job.

Disappointed if true. Not that I think Lee Clark is a bad manager at all, or Kevin Keegan for that matter. Just that I think it's not the right option for Leicester City at this time especially when we have a great opportunity to bring in someone who I think is the right man for the job. Think we might regret it but what can you do other than back the new man and hope.

Lee Clarke surprised at the news that he is the prefered candidate but was also quite cagey in his replies to the questions.

The bit I watched, he was asked about the Leicester job and just squirmed about in his chair and shook his head then said "is somebody trying to stitch me up"

The best thing Keegans ever done was fall off his bike on Superstars

... Oh, and he took Newcastle into the Premier League and kept them there for 4 years.
... Oh, and he got Fulham promoted and then became England manager.
... Oh and he got Man City promoted into the Premier League and kept them there for 3 years.

But maybe you are right. Falling off his bike might have been the best thing he ever did. :icon_eek: :icon_roll :icon_wink

Manish Bhasin has claimed on Twitter that Keegan told him there is "absolutely nothing" in the rumours that he might be coming here. Not that I reckon he'd tell Bhasin anything.

Also Bert off FT saying that Mark Hughes is in talks with us. So we can rule him out.

An hour and a half earlier he said Keegan and Clark had got the job.

there may have been an element of sarcasm in RF's post...

Practically everyone on FT seems to be wanking over Mark Hughes. Why? What the feck has he done or achieved? Nothing. Same for Clark, 3 years at Huddersfield and hasn't managed to get them promoted from League 1 yet we are planning on bringing him in with the target of getting us promoted to the Prem. My bet is who ever comes in hasn't got three years.. they will have 'til the end of next season at best.

Exactly. Anyone who follows Bert will hopefully now realise he knows **** all and proved it during the close of the transfer window.

He gets the odd bit right but 98% of what he posts is what's already in the papers and he passes it off as inside information.

Who's the alternative?
