This sums it up for me:

'Sven Goran Eriksson has been sacked by Leicester City...Martin O'Neill and Mark Hughes head the list of favourites to replace him but Billy Davies, once of Derby and Nottingham Forest, is also in the frame' - The Daily Mail, October 25.

'Ambitious Leicester could turn to rookie Karl Robinson in their bid to reach the Premier League. The Foxes are searching for a new manager after the shock sacking of former England boss Sven Goran Eriksson on Monday night' - The Daily Mail, October 26.

'Kevin Keegan has emerged as a shock target for Leicester City, possibly as part of a management team with Lee Clark. The ambitious Championship club, who dispensed with the services of Sven Goran Eriksson on Monday, are planning to ask Huddersfield for permission to speak to their highly-rated manager Clark' - The Daily Mail, October 28.

'Leicester City are considering bringing back former boss Nigel Pearson to fill the gap following Sven Goran Eriksson's sacking last week' - The Daily Mail, October 31.

'Roy Keane is set to replace Sven Goran Eriksson as manager of Leicester City. Sportsmail understands the former Sunderland and Ipswich boss has been targeted by the club's ambitious owners' - The Daily Mail, November 2.

So in summary, Ken Dodds got the job.

Nigel Pearson spotted at the KP Stadium apparently - he's coming back! Announcement before Saturdays game against Leeds. I'm happy with this

What about Sunday's game against Leeds?

Sean Jarvis (Director at HTFC) just tweeted in response to a fan demanding a reaction to the above article "will have a chat about this - but as we stand no approach from lcfc and no mention from LC."

Seems unlikely he'll be appointed tomorrow then. Unless it's all porkies.

Lee Clark is set to land the Leicester job after talks with the Foxes' owners in London.

Huddersfield boss Clark could now be named as Sven Goran Eriksson’s successor on Thursday after emerging as the leading contender.

The 39-year-old has established an impressive reputation as one of English football’s brightest young bosses, and Leicester made their move for him on Tuesday.

Hull's former Leicester manager Nigel Pearson and ex-Derby and Nottingham Forest boss Billy Davies are also on the short-list, but Clark seems poised to secure the post.

Huddersfield will demand compensation of around £300,000 for the manager that has guided the Terriers on an amazing run of 41 consecutive matches unbeaten in League One.

Leicester are determined to have Clark installed before their Championship clash with Leeds on Sunday.
