Both young players with a bit of ability, why not keep them?

The other few that a said stay are the ones i believe are our better players. I obviously don't mean sell them all and then not get anyone in to replace them!

If we want to challenge for the playoffs next season we must have a vastly improved squad to what we have now.

I'd assume if we want to do anything next year then we will bring in 4 or 5 players of good quality. When MM was at pompey they signed Merson and Yakubu the season they went up. I doubt very much that many of the current squad will survive the summer. The reason for this is that the majority are simply not good enough

I think most will survive the summer. We will keep the majority of the current squad but add 5 decent players, maybe getting rid of 2 or 3.

Aren't a few of them out of contract though? plus we have 4 or 5 loan players to give back to their respective clubs.

Anyways ... as long as Milan and the manager do us proud in the transfer market we'll be ok!

I'm not counting the loans we have, i'm talking about people under contract to us. Those under contract willl mostly stay except for De Vries and Douglas.

We need a big squad to cover injuries and suspensions if we are going to make a determined push for promotion, so I would keep the following:

Henderson and Logan - OUT Douglas
Kisnorbo, McAuley, Johansson, Stearman, McCarthy (if he improves his discipline) - OUT Kenton and Maybury
Johnson, Jarrett, Porter, Yeates if he is cheap, Wesolowski (seems permanently injured though - OUT Hughes, Tiatto (Aus), Glombard (obviously not made an impact on RK so far)
Horsfield, Hume, Cadamarteri, (Fryatt and Hammond, if they can improve) - OUT De Vries, because he appears to have fallen out with us.

I do not count the kids such as Sheehan and Dodds as part of the squad.

So I have kept about 15 or 16, so we probably need about 5 or 6 in. Gonna need one outstanding striker and one outstanding attacking centre midfield. Also a very good right wing and two fast wing backs.

Fecking hell, you cannot bring in 12 new players and expect them to gel as a team and push for promotion!
And I do not think MM is putting in enough money to buy and pay 12 players that are better than what we already have.
