Still sat here waiting for this "difficult run of fixtures" to begin.
By the end of December we should know how good we really are.
If you're the sort to back a horse if it keeps coming in to a shorter price as the race start approaches then LCFC looked a tremendous bet 3 weeks ago. I had a fun little punt on us at 1500/1 to win the league before the Watford game, now in to anything from 66/1
10/1 third favourites now.
I hear the bookies are in for a right thrashing in millions if City do win the League.
I read an article that it would cost SkyBet £5m should we win the league. Wow.I hear the bookies are in for a right thrashing in millions if City do win the League.
But they would get much more than that from other bets that didn't go in. As TommyK said, Leicester winning the league would be sensational for the bookiesI read an article that it would cost SkyBet £5m should we win the league. Wow.
I am sure most fans on here would have taken 10/18 points for our 'tough' run of 6 games before the Man Utd game. Now we have 10/12.
So I am looking at anything from Liverpool and Man City as a bonus that will put clear water between us and 5th place!

We've got off ok only playing one of the 3 teams you'd realistically be expecting to challenge for the title, but Swansea and Chelsea have been 2 of the worst teams in the league so far this season and Liverpool and Everton have both been very erratic.
I don't think the 6 fixtures are a tough as you think. Right now I'd much rather be playing Chelsea, Everton, Swansea and Liverpool than I would Crystal Palace and West Ham who we've both beaten.
I'd agree except for today's. Everton look a good team this year, today was a big win.Don't want to be one of those guys... But still very much stick by this.
Still think this run of the last 4 games was no harder than the run of Saints - Palace - WBA (a) - Watford we had earlier in the season.
There's not a "top 6" and the rest of the league anymore. Arsenal and ManCity are a level above no doubt, but teams like Chelsea, Everton, Liverpool (even if they beat us next week) and ManUtd aren't any better than the rest of the league anymore. The gap from the top teams to the rest of the division has shrunk to virtually nothing in the past couple of years. Palace are a better side than any of them and our win against them was a better achievement than any of our last 4 results.
I agree they play well, but they seem to be struggling to turn it to wins recently.I'd agree except for today's. Everton look a good team this year, today was a big win.
Jesus I'd not realised that. Thought they were doing better. I suppose that's what 3 draws and loss do.I agree they play well, but they seem to be struggling to turn it to wins recently.
We are now 15 points above them.
No thanks, I'd rather wank in paradiseSo if we win on Saturday we will go 5 points clear at the top (at least for 2 days)?
And then second play third?
It's entirely possible we could be 4 points clear on christmas day.
**** me.

From where did you get that table?Everton haven't won against a team in the top half yet!
They're position of 10th in the table almost makes for perfectly symmetrical reading - haven't beat any of the sides above them, but haven't lost to anyone below them.
They're good at putting away the teams worse than them, but can't step up when they're playing anyone as good as them/better than them. They're pretty much the definition of standard mid-table rabble.
