Quote from Nielsen in the official site of AaB (hopefully I got the Danish right):

- I've had a great time in AaB, but I'm very happy that I can try my wings in Leicester. This is a great oppurtunity both in a sporting way and economically*. The level and the intensity in the English Championship are both high, and the atmosphere is terrific. And with the capacity of 33.000 spectators in the new beautiful stadium, and with the investment from the new owner (Milan Mandaric), Leicester City have a positive future.

* The bookmakers in Leicester will be busy...?

hes fecking optomistic ill give him that.:icon_lol:

Not really excited by either signing TBH. The boredom continues.

i think both signings can be useful to us this season, but only as fringe players perhaps. N'gotty will probably only play around 15 games but i think his experience will benefit Mcauley and kisnorbo (if he stays).
Also Nielson sounds like a good cover keeper to either logan ( my 1st choice ) or henderson

Please tell me you are having a laugh. Nielsen will without doubt be first choice next season and N'Gotty will play a lot more than 15 games. Both players will be first-team regulars involved in the vast majority of games. Kisnorbo and McAuley are both individually good players but we let in far too many goals last season so the signing of N'Gotty is a very good one - I wouls also like De Zeeuw. Neither Logan or Henderson have been anything like commanding so a regular number one was what was called for and what we now have.

Agree with all of that. I'm sure it's hoped that N'Gotty will be a pivotal figure. He's got a really good pedigree, having played for the likes of AC Milan and PSG, and he's experienced in this league and in the Prem. He's a genuinely quality player, even if he is almost 36, and we haven't had many of those around recently. I can't see Kisnorbo, McCarthy and McAuley keeping him out IF he's fit. He played 25 games for Brum last season, and 134 in four seasons for Bolton, so it's not as if he's always injured either.

N'Gotty will add much needed professionalism, he has played at the highest level and he will be an excellent role model to the younger players as to what can be achieved if you look after yourself.

There appears to have been a real lack of discipline at the club, something that MM appears to have noticed straight away, and the appointment of a disciplinarian like Allen and the subsequent signing of N'Gotty demonstrates his determination to rid the club of its unprofessional off field reputation.

And Tony Adams.;) Pretty strange formation though.
if he plays for leicester week in and week out and keep the clean sheets then i'd be happy even if he put ade akinbadbye in

How does the signing of a confirmed gambling addict square with this comment?
