Well done BCFC, whilst trying to paint themselves in a good light they have made absolute tits of themselves by showing everyone exactly how much money they will lose when he ****s off for free.

You looked like tits before and now you look like even bigger tits, ****ing tits.
I genuinely thought that Maynard's arrival was a formality but fair play to Bristol, they were stubborn and did not give into the big bucks. Whilst Maynard may walk away for nothing, him staying might just guarantee them survival this season. Perhaps survival is worth a bit more than 6 million?

I do not understand all the animosity. We made a large offer for a Bristol City player, their manager and board wanted to keep him, and declined the bid. Where does this show either side to comprise rogues and vagabonds?

I am sorry that we did not succeed in securing Maynard's services, but it is good to know that our board were willing to back Sven, and good luck to Bristol City.

See also the thread about the People non-article about Sven being under pressure to improve results. Ten years of chronic instability and poor performance (other than NP's two years ... arguably) and even the mildest bit of cage rattling sets us off yapping like Pavlov's dogs.

Que sera....

(With hindsight) - Getting a freshly promoted club to the play-offs doesn't seem as big a deal now (Swansea, Norwich, possibly Brighton, Soton) as it did 18 months ago. Pearson's "progressive" bits - the astute loan signings, the other Walshy's scouting and contacts, the Sports Science bits .... and the obvious discipline within the squad. I was a lot more contented going into the Cardiff p/o match than at any time this millennium.

.... then the Brown BNP incident, team selection for the play offs, the MOF inviting P de S to the game .... etc, etc. All blown apart .... allegedly.

Where he ends up could depend on where we and Blackburn are at the turn of the year. If we're looking good for promotion and Blackburn are in a relegation dogfight then it could prove pivotal.

32 more pages of crap to post until he signs remember.
