In the short term yes, but in the long run Maynard has the pottential to hold, if not increase in value, though there are no guarantees.
Personally i would sooner have Beckford of the two also, but nothing to do with how much each would cost.

Have to agree , their Chairman has dropped the biggest bollock ever, you only play hardball when you have a winning hand, there are to many good players about for any one player to really make that ammount of difference. Bristol City will regret their Chairmans shortsightedness and inability to recognise the fact that smaller football clubs need to realise their assets in order to grow. At the moment BC must be in line for relegation and they will never again be offered 6 million pounds for a player who will be out of contract in a years time.
