If CL can get the lazy work shy get motivated, i think he will be a great player for us. But he is very quickly beginning to grate on my nerves with his lacklustre performances. I think Maybury was getting a bit hacked off with him too.

At least the vast majority of the team seems to be putting in a bit more effort now - maybe CL is finally seeing the team gel.

sounds like Williams as well

in all the years ive been going with the posible exception of jimmy willis i have never shouted to a city player to "get the feck off the pitch " before in my life
i can cope with "off games" or stray passes but when he is just ambling around the pitch without a care in the world that really pisses me off

When we got him I feared the worst after seeing him a few times for Celtic and hearing less than complimentary remarks about him from Celtic fans but I thought I'd give him a chance in A City shirt, new club and all that. Now the settling in period is over it looks as though the Celtic fans were right,he's a bone idle bastard who will one decent thing in 2 or 3 games and spend the rest of the time whinging about something and anything. We'd be better off with Hammond or Hamill on the wing.

He was lazy on Saturday, just as he was at the start of the season but he has put some commited performances in between that. He has worked hard and tracked back to good effect on ocassion, can't understnad why he cant do it every game though. His attitude gets me the most, forever moaning at the ref/linesman/opponent/team mate/bench etc. If you can't be arsed Momo, feck off and take part-time Gareth with you.

I dont see where all of the criticism of Williams come from, His performances havent been especially good but his performances havent been any worse than anybody elses. If your expecting him to be diving into tackles all the time then this wont happen as he is not that type of player. In my opinion he needs someone to play with such as Hughes and Joey.

We can't afford a Luxury Player,we need 11 '100%s' out there.

Totally agree, if your not willing to give 100% then this has a knock on effect on the rest of the team who must get well p*ssed off seeing him having his sunday morning jog round the pitch. It also means they have to put that extra effort in to make up the short-fall.
Personally i think he could be an excellent player for us if craig levein can manage to extract his thumb out his arse and replace it with a rocket!

i was getting hacked off with maybury. he looked great last season when he joined but is getting turned too easily, and that is essentially all a right back should be trying to stop.

Williams has failed to play anywhere near his potential.

You can forgive poor passing from a ball winner, because their main job is to run around and tackle people.
But with Williams we should at least expect him to be able to pass the ball, but he failed to do that even with easy balls on Saturday, I'm sure he passed it to their players more often than he did to ours.

the reason is the points which webbo highlighted, added to his half arsed attitude and lack of respect towards the cushy job he has
