I'd just be pleased to see us put a run together of two or three wins - agree with DesertFox that talk of the play-offs should be avoided, it ain't gonna happen this season!

Heart says it's about time we gave someone a real thrashing, and having worked and lived in knuckle-dragging country I'd love to see that against Naarrich...but Dublin will probably score against us and we'll go down 1-0 and play like a clueless bunch of surrender monkeys!

Alnwick - Error cost us at Watford, but still looks by far our best option at the moment IMO.
Stearman - I really think he's playing well at the moment, sorry about that all you Stear haters.
Kis - First name on the sheet
McAuley - second
Clapham - Only to be played at LB please Ollie, not LM.

Bori - I have been mightily unimpressed with him so far - surely he can only improve? We need a win. Play wingers Ollie.
Clem - Third name on the team sheet IMO
Oakley - Turn in to Mr Izzet please.
Lackso - See Bori comments.

Howard - We have to play him, but not for much longer if we continue to play nonsense long balls to him.
DJ - Needs a run in the team to get going....(i hope..)

Spot on with every comment here.

I really hope that the mentions of play-offs in this thread have been deeply sarcastic.

1-1. Howard with an early headed goal, play crap, concede a late equaliser.

I think this just about sums things up nicely.

sums it up
Does it?, sounds like it was written by a BM to me :102:

We will not get booed off if we lose to Norwich, but I fear we will get booed if we play like a bunch of spineless cnuts with a total inability to pass or shoot despite being given many opportunuties to do so, again.

Nobody expects us to win, but we do expect them to show willing and a modicum of ability. This is what pisses most people off, not the result, and only a BM wouldn't understand that.

Nobody seriously expected us turn Watford over, and losing to them wasn't the reason for the backlash, it was once again the manner in which we acheived the loss, again, only a BM wouldn't understand that.

I'd say nearly all the games we have lost this season have been there for the taking. And whilst the author of said article might be satisfied with that, I fcuking aint.

I agree with virtually everything you say, except the use of "most people". Granted, the view that you, I and most on here take is that it's not so much the bad results as the manner they come about, but that's not what I heard as I left on Monday.

I wish I shared your faith that they will not get booed if they lose to Norwich irrespective of how well or badly they perform.

It isn't a strong faith, and maybe I'm underestimating the stupidity of the stupid.

I thought that myself when I read it earlier on.

On a different note, Mrs SJN is going along with me tomorrow and the last time she went we won, so hopefully she'll be lucky for us again. If not then she ain't fcukin going no more!

im going to the game tomorrrow and we have got a decent record this season of the games i have been to- won 2 drawn 1 lost 1 so i am quite hopeful we can finally give up the useless long ball and try and play some football. says in ollie's column that hes banned long balls from free kicks which is encouraging.

2-1 leicester howard and kisnorbo for us, dublin for them.
COME ON YOU BLUES!

Good start to the weekend:icon_conf

FT 3-2

Well the Clay heads did us a favour, we still need points. I for one wasn't praising glorious Stoke. We need to win our own battles.

No goal keeping errors and we might get a result tomorrow. See you there.

All I know is that Dublin will score for them. :icon_conf

dublin scores bang on half time,

hume lets all his frustration out by smashing in a 35 yard effort straight into the top corner,

last minute, we get a peno, just as n'gotty is coming on for an injured iain hume....he steps up to take the penalty as his first kick of the game, smashes it "matt elliott style" str8 down the middle, bursting the net, and the balls flys into the sweet scoffing face of the 9 year old child at his first ever city game in the front row of family stand....we win 2-1, first time this season we claw our way back from a 1-0 deficit, but nine year old billy is distressed, traumatised and will NEVER visit the crisp bowl again.

trust me, this WILL happen!....

Stearman Kisnorbo McAuley Clapham
Bori Oakley Weso Mattock
Howard Fryatt

The reason for Mattock left midfield is that they gave us a torrid time down the right at their place, partly due to a winger at the top of his game that day, partly due to the fact that young Joe had no help and protection in front of him all game. Thus they had a constant supply to Dublin who dominated us in the air.Luckiest point we got this season
