I remember reading a while ago in one of the Sunday papers about him being on a huge wage at Villa - i think it was about a million a year. Basically the story was about how wages have gone so high even for average players...

I can't see him being worth it. As a flair (unlocking defences) player i'm not sure he does enough, and he's not exactly the battling type. Mind you a goal scorer from midfield is vital if we're going to do anything next season.

Always quite liked Hendry as a player but don't see him as a box to box midfielder, more of a Joe Cole type playing just behind the striker(s) or cutting in off the wing. I reckon Hume could do that job for us though..

MILAN MANDARIC is ready to pay Lee Hendrie a staggering £1million a year to join his Leicester revolution, writes BEN KINSELLA.

The former England midfielder, 30, has also been tracked by Derby, Stoke, Coventry and Wolves following his release from Aston Villa.
