I think the £8 million estimation is way off. half that and you may be close.

I remember reading a while ago in one of the Sunday papers about him being on a huge wage at Villa - i think it was about a million a year. Basically the story was about how wages have gone so high even for average players....

I remember that. They actually put one of his proper wage slips in the paper that he 'accidently' dropped. He was on bonkers money....it showed the bonuses he was getting. I think it was when Villa first loaned him out and they were still paying him his wages.

i have been fairly happy with our signings, however looking at other activity im actually pissed off.

norwich will have billy sharp and rob earnshaw upfront
wolves will have keogh and eastwood

Billy Sharp is a cracking prospect I reckon...... Eastwood is a bit more of a guess perhaps. I think there's still a lot of Premiership clubs wanting Nugent and until he's signed up somewhere many of them will not be looking to these two.

Although I can see what Alex is saying, I totally agree with Mighty & London. It's going to be an agonising wait during the next 10 days, but I believe MM & MA have got a trick up their sleeve/s. I do think we would have made a move for one of these if there wasn't better/proven targets out there. Saying that, i understand how people see it when they look at partnerships like Earnshaw/Sharp & Eastwood/Keogh (with jarvis)..to me these look good for a promotion push. We need a little patience or for MA to tell us that everything is under control!
