Some of our more established players are very close to some of these staff members. If the staff members were upset about only the chosen few being rewarded, several players would have been angry too. It only takes something like that to upset a squad - and something definitely upset our squad.

Dave Rennie is very highly regarded in football as just about the best at what he does. He is the main man responsible for the fact that our injury list is one of the smallest around. There is no way we'd have got rid of him without good reason.

Percy suggests a 'backroom reshuffle' which could mean others are on their way out too. If BR has to assert his authority, it could be pretty toxic around the place and be a reason for their being no communications in/out.

All conjecture from me of course but it would add up.

I guess this makes plenty of sense. Players are with him day in and day out. Also Stowell et al have been here through all the managerial changes etc. Let's gope this all gets resolved.

I was hoping for some juicy stuff by now and Rennie leaving, whilst appearing a little strange, does not cut the mustard.

If we're in the business of completely baseless speculation, how about this? If the owners want to sell, I imagine we'd be an attractive proposition, particularly given our somewhat Moneyball-influenced recruitment model.

If we're going to sell, then surely being in the press more would be beneficial?
 
The new training ground, new stadium, not the investments you would make when you're looking to sell. I know COVID has affected King Power but the stadium expansion has still been spoken about by top so I don't think his plans or commitment to the club have changed.
 
Club have released a training photo. Doesn't do much to dispell rumours. Vardy training alone?

Geoff Peters (formerly of RL and close enough to the club to be trustworthy) posted something last night and then deleted it.

In response to people wondering what could be going on, he said "Watch this space, people are going to be gobsmacked".

City do love an implosion.
