I think that Holloway's analogies are good, not because they make me laugh and like the guy but because they probably make the players laugh and like the guy. He may be viewed by some as a bit of a clown but I think he is pretty clever in that he takes pressure off the players.
Every manager has his own way of doing things but the one common denominator is that he has to get the players to respect him. By being how he is he takes alot of the flak himself and, as has already been seen with the Carl Cort thing, he will stand by his players in public.
If Holloway is successful here then I bet that in say 10, 15 years time when we are ploughing through more shite managers, people will be calling for the days of Holloway and his "funny ways".
